In accordance with Florida Public Records Law, the Boynton Beach Police Department provides access to public records maintained by the department. Citizens may request records such as police reports, crash reports, Body Worn Camera footage, and other agency documents. BBPD's Records Division is responsible for providing police incident reports, addressing issues with parking citations and any general information requests.
Public records can be obtained several ways:- In person at BBPD Headquarters (2100 High Ridge Road)

The department will acknowledge requests as soon as possible and provide records within a reasonable time depending on the complexity of the request. Please note that a fee may apply.
Due to Florida State Statute, some records may be withheld or partially redacted as allowed by law, including information related to active investigations, juveniles, victims, medical records, confidential informants, Social Security numbers, and protected addresses.

Police Reports
Police reports are generally available 7-10 business days after the date of occurrence. Public records requests are processed in the order in which they are received. All reports will be reviewed pursuant to FSS 119 prior to release. Request a police report.
Background Checks
The Boynton Beach Police Department no longer offers to the public the service of conducting a background check. This may be obtained through the Florida Department of Law Enforcement www.fdle.state.fl.us or the Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office.
