Lt. Kelly Harris joined the Boynton Beach Police Department in
September 1997. Her initial assignment was to the Uniform
Services Patrol Division where she served as a road patrol
officer, field training officer and department trainer.
Harris was promoted to sergeant in 2001 and served as a road
patrol supervisor and recruiting and training sergeant.
In 2004, Harris was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant and
served as a road patrol watch commander. Her current assignment
is Special Operations Lieutenant.
The Special Operations Division encompasses the Community Action
Team, Traffic Division, Marine Unit and Youth Empowerment
Center.
Harris is a graduate of the Southern Police Institute's Command
Officers Development Course. She is also a member of the Law
Enforcement Work Group.
