Internal Affairs Section

The Internal Affairs Section of the Boynton Beach Police Department is dedicated to ensuring that the quality of service provided by our department mirrors that of the guidelines set forth by the command staff and our community.

The Internal Affairs Section will investigate complaints of alleged misconduct, and track previously substantiated complaints to identify possible trends of action or needs for further training in a particular area. The department maintains an "Early Warning System" to alert supervisors of conduct which could prove detrimental to the mission of our agency if it is not proactively addressed.

Members of the Internal Affairs Section take great pride in their ability to remain objective in the collection of the facts of a case.  Our staff recognizes  the importance of complete neutrality when investigating an allegation of misconduct by a public servant.
