Uncontrolled dogs pose a great risk of bodily harm to citizens
and their pets.
The Animal Control Division thoroughly investigates all reports
of animal-to-human bites and animal-vs-animal attacks.
Enforcement action will be taken against owners whose negligence
has resulted in their dog causing injury to persons or other
animals.
Dogs must be securely confined to their owner's real property or
under physical restraint by a competent person at all times.
An owner of a dog is liable for the actions of their pet and can
face criminal consequences, including incarceration, if their
dog causes severe injury to a person.
For the protection and welfare of all residents, the
ownership of potentially dangerous dogs is strongly discouraged!
