Animal Shelters / Adoptions

The Boynton Beach Animal Shelter is located at 415 N.E. Fourth Street in downtown Boynton Beach, near the intersection of Federal Highway and Boynton Beach Boulevard.

The shelter is a temporary holding facility for stray animals found within the city limits. The division does not employ a veterinarian and is therefore unable to process animals for on-site adoption.

All animals in need of immediate medical attention and all unclaimed domestic animals are transferred to Palm Beach County Animal Care and Control. Stray animals are kept a minimum of five days by law.

If you are missing a pet, promptly contact our office at 561.742.6210. If we do not have your lost pet, please visit one of the other humane organizations within Palm Beach County listed here.
